In terms of service, at no point did we get the impression that the proprietor was enthused to have us as guests. You don't even need to be a designer to figure out a better system that this and if budget is the concern, availability of reasonably good quality bed sheets from sources like ikea etc is just common knowledge these days. Decor concerns aside, the confused jumble of a recessed closet/fridge area that was to act as wardrobe and food storage had apparently been given no consideration in terms of layout or planning. However, the total cost of our accommodation (apparently on the lower end of the going rate) was absolutely no justification for very worn, cheap looking bed sheets and a bed that embarrassingly creaks with the slightest movement. On the plus side, a layout of rooms in a u shaped building enclosing a pool works quite well and the grounds are peaceful and lovely, fronting onto a small waterway with mangrove trees While the guide book did forewarn against any expectations for decor, alternatives were very limited due to high season demand. We recently followed a Lonely Planet recommendation and spent 3 nights at this inn.
